This isn't political, or anything. Just a couple of funny clips my brother and I enjoy. :)

Rant on the Republican Party
Just a rant. Not because I'm a huge fan of the Democrats at the moment. And just because I'm sick of the Authoritarian Republicans and the campaign of Gone InSane.
So, indulge me. ;) [R-Rated Language Warning]
Oh, and for knowledgeable listeners, yes, I borrowed (no, not plagiarized, borrowed) from the likes of Harry Truman, Tom Lehrer, Bill Maher and others, so, you know, hat tips all around. :)
Think CLEaRly, my fellow Libeqrats.

A Discourse of Dissonance
(Working out some problems with the player . . . please E-mail us at liveliest DOT crib AT gmail DOT com if you'd like a download of the episode. Thanks!)
Are words like "Freedom" just meaningless buzz words these days? Is our public dialogue increasingly marked by cognitive dissonance? Are we even listening to one another? Seriously, what the hell has happened to discourse in America?
Today in the Liveliest Crib, John and Karen do some banterin' and swearin' about such topics in the peculiar contexts of Mother Teresa's apparently life-long "crisis of faith"; the movie 300; the old Merle Haggard song, Okie from Muskogee; and other miscellaneous things that enter their warped little heads.
Think CLEaRly, my fellow Libeqrats!
If we are committed to anything, it is the idea of "liberty." If that commitment doesn't really refer to anything except a good inner felling, we ought to shut up about it.
---Prof. Charles L. Black, Professor of Law, Columbia University
Also referenced in the episode: Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Dan Dennett and Christopher Hitchens (the Four Horsemen against the apocalypse); Bill Donohue and the Catholic League; The Missionary Position (by Christopher Hitchens); Hardball with Chris Matthews (clip from Crooks and Liars); Bertrand Russell and the Celestial Teapot; American Fascists (by Chris Hedges); Real Time with Bill Maher; Tim Robbins; Michele Martin; 300 YouTube Trailer; Kurt Vonnegut; Insanity and Coma (clip from Crooks and Liars); Karen Hanretty; Bob Beckel; Ted Nugent; Ed Schultz; Jon Stewart on Crossfire; A Progressive Majority in America?

Proto Show
Realizing full well that I am only entertaining myself, I offer a proto-show of The Liveliest Crib.
Take a listen as I bitch on the Early Show with Ray Taliaferro about some bureaucratic nonsense involved in the voter registration process.
